Abstract

Within the existing security environment, we realize how fragile and volatile the security status is. The
continuous dynamic of threats specific to hybrid warfare, challenge the international community to develop also a hybrid response. Hybrid warfare represents everything we know in matter of security; on one hand it is a compilation between irregular warfare, unconventional warfare and compound warfare and on the other hand, like Gerasimov emphasis, it is a combination of tactics: deep operation, active measures and reflexive control. This paper presents an objective analyse of the phenomenom and help the reader to understand trends in the matter of security. The main characteristic of hybrid warfare- ambiguity via proxy forces in a new operational domain- cyber space, represents the means and the opportunity for an unlimited war. The case study analyses the implication of the hybrid warfare fought by Russia in Donbas region of Ukraine as a base of the current security issue. Moreover, we will see how the informational warfare shapes the truth and how able we are to see beyond the wall. Is hybrid warfare without boundaries?
